Organizing Strategy

While the mere existence of the Community Regeneration, Sustainability, and Innovation Act is a triumph, a coalition of support will need to be developed if this piece of legislation is going to become more than a talking point in speeches. Such a coalition will need to be comprised of a multitude of people from an array of backgrounds. As such, support will need to be garnered from congressional representatives, state governments, local governments, community organizing projects, community development corporations and other community based organizations in target cities and local governmental entities throughout the United States. This strategic approach to building support will require movement on multiple levels to create exposure, increase grassroots momentum and build significant congressional support for this bill.
